Scout Camping

One of the most exciting parts of scouting is camping out with your troop. However in the Midwest this activity is often limited by weather for a good majority of the year but at Stark Caverns you can enjoy camping with your scout group year round. We make it easy at Stark Caverns, all you need to do is bring the sleeping bags and marshmallows. At Stark Caverns scout camping includes a tour of the cave where scouts will learn about the different types of rock formations in Missouri. Non Scout Group Camping

Rates: Adults (18 & up) $35-ea | Youth (under 18) $25-ea | Deposit $200

With a constant temperature of 58-degrees year-round, your organization's group of 10 or more can enjoy camping in any season.

Plus, Stark Caverns can customize your visit to include activities like sluice mining or black light tours, catering, and so much more. All you need to do is bring the marshmallows and the sleeping bags.

The minimum group size for camping is 10 – youth and/or adults. Campers may stay up to 2 nights, but will be responsible for storing gear out of the way during regular tour hours (9 am – 6 pm in peak season, 10 am – 5 pm off-season). We ask that campers arrive by 4:30 p.m. the day of their camp-out and be ready to leave the interior of the cave by 8:30 the next morning. We have a fire circle and picnic table seating. Firewood is available as well. Due to regulations firewood cannot be brought onto the property but we do supply firewood for a minimal price for your convenience. The deposit will be returned if the caverns were left exactly as they were before the campers arrived. We do not have RV hook-ups, but campers will have access to a few electrical outlets inside and just outside the caverns. No food is allowed inside the caverns.
